
The US has reacted warily after Iran appeared to accept a deal to swap enriched uranium for nuclear fuel. President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Iran would have "no problem" if most of its stock was held for several months before being returned as fuel rods.

Israeli F-16s carried out an air strike late Tuesday against underground smuggling tunnels at the Gaza Strip-Egypt border, in response to two explosive ?laden barrels that washed up on beaches in Ashdod and Ashkelon the previous day, an Israeli army spokesman said.
